While I was in wedded tents, my Wifer No Swipey would give me a birthday song every year. And while not all of them were parodies, most of them were. They’ve be sexy, silly, sweet, and sometimes off-the-wall-bonkers random.
The last one she made for me was a Collab between her and my best friend Harriet the Spy. Lyrics by ex, vocals by Harri, and parody of Waving Through the Window from Dear Evan Hansen.
Dear Evan Hansen is emotional as heck. Life is hard. Love your people. Find your future. Be brave. Eat that gas station pizza. Apologize for your mistakes. Try and make more.
Enjoy the masterpiece!
Driving Through a Roundabout
Sarah Lees
December 2023
To the tune of Waving Through a Window
Harold, the man about town.
The one who has the fancy ‘stache.
His baseball cap is his crown.
He’s not afraid to talk some trash.
Making all the people laugh,
Taking a trip out to Barbie Beach.
He’s taller than a giraffe,
Favorite emoji is a peach.
Zombies, zombies in Senoia,
Hollywood is here.
Zombies, zombie in Senoia,
Right next to beer, right next to beer.
In Coweta, always on the square.
At the park or spot him at the fair.
‘Cause he’s Ha-Ha-Harold with the ‘stache
Driving through a roundabout.
Here and there, got gossip in his ear.
He’s got jokes for each day of the year.
‘Cause he’s Ha-Ha-Harold with the ‘stache
Driving through a roundabout.
Can anybody see, is anybody driving behind me?
BBQ at Sprayberry’s,
Pimento cheese at Redneck Gourmet,
Bar hopping, open carry,
Not afraid to through all the doorways.
Zombies, zombies in Senoia,
Hollywood is here.
Zombies, zombie in Senoia,
Right next to beer, right next to beer.
In Coweta, always on the square.
At the park or spot him at the fair.
‘Cause he’s Ha-Ha-Harold with the ‘stache
Driving through a roundabout.
Here and there, got gossip in his ear.
He’s got jokes for each day of the year.
‘Cause he’s Ha-Ha-Harold with the ‘stache
Driving through a roundabout.
Can anybody see, is anybody driving behind me?
When you’re driving in a circle and there’s nobody around
Do you start to get dizzy like a watch that’s getting wound?
When you’re driving in a circle and there’s nobody around
Do you start to get dizzy like a watch that’s getting wound?
When you’re driving in a circle and there’s nobody around
Do you start to get dizzy like a watch that’s getting wound?
When you’re driving in a circle and there’s nobody around
Do you start to get dizzy like a watch that’s getting wound?
Did I even make it round?
Did I even make it round?
It’s like a never made it round,
Will I ever make it round?
In Coweta, always on the square.
At the park or spot him at the fair.
‘Cause he’s Ha-Ha-Harold with the ‘stache
Driving through a roundabout.
Here and there, got gossip in his ear.
He’s got jokes for each day of the year.
‘Cause he’s Ha-Ha-Harold with the ‘stache
Driving through a roundabout.
Can anybody see, is anybody driving behind me?
Is anybody driving?
Driving, driving, whoa-oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh
