Downtown Newnan will be closed to vehicle traffic from Monday, January 19th through Wednesday, January 21st, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., to allow filming of a TikTok dance video by social media personality Addy Ray, city officials announced.

The closures will affect Court Square and surrounding streets while crews set up lighting, cameras, and staging for the production. Addy Ray, who has millions of followers on TikTok, is expected to film multiple takes of a short dance video during the time period.

City leaders said the decision was made to help attract younger visitors to Newnan.

“This is about visibility,” said a city official. “Young people discover places online now, and this puts Newnan directly in front of that audience.”

An economic development spokesperson added, “If this brings more youth downtown—even briefly—that’s a win for local businesses and the city’s long-term growth.”

Normal traffic patterns are expected to resume the evening of January 22 following the completion of filming.
