Willis Road Elementary student stripped of her Run 4 Funds score after officials discover she had a performance enhancing weed.

A Willis Road Elementary student has been disqualified from the annual Run 4 Funds event after officials say she used a “performance-enhancing weed”, which was later confirmed to be a four-leaf clover during the race.

Witnesses report the student, identified only as “Madison M.,” was seen clutching the suspicious greenery tightly before sprinting past her classmates “like she’d been fueled by pure luck.” Teachers became suspicious after she broke the school record by nearly 45 seconds.

“We take fairness very seriously,” said Run 4 Funds coordinator Mrs. Pennington. “All students should rely on grit, not greenery.”

Madison reportedly found the clover behind the monkey bars earlier that morning and told classmates it “made her feel fast and chosen.” Her parents insist she had “no idea” the clover was banned under school spirit guidelines.

The clover has been confiscated and placed in the school office “for evidence and maybe display.” Madison’s record will be removed, but she’s still eligible for the Fun Run next year, pending a clean lawn inspection.
