HOLY BBQ, NEWNAN!
The Oink Joint in Downtown Newnan has become the busiest restaurant in the city after a customer reported seeing the face of Jesus formed in a pool of BBQ sauce on their plate IMMEDIATELY after saying grace. The photo circulated quickly and crowds began showing up, with lines wrapping to the front of Goldens on the Square.
Visitors now must enter a wait list for their own divine eatervention. Many say they want to see the plate that started it or hope their own meal will reveal something similar. Staff say they are just trying to keep up with demand, hymn books on hand, and are treating the situation as just another work shift.
Sprayberry’s responded to the sudden surge in attention with a brief comment. “We have been here longer and we serve real Newnan food,” a representative said. “If Jesus is choosing restaurants we would like a fair shot next time.”
