Reports Say Newnan Fight Club No Longer a Secret

What was once rumored and very hush-hush is now apparently out in the open, as reports are coming in that the Newnan Fight Club has officially arrived in town. Despite the long-standing rule about not talking about Fight Club, several locals say it has been “kind of obvious for a while now,” especially in the comment sections of Facebook.

According to people familiar with the group, the rules of Newnan Fight Club are actually very simple and not violent at all. “We don’t fight in fight club,” said one man who asked not to be named but whose profile picture is him holding a fish. “We just argue with people on Facebook and then avoid them at all costs in person.”

Members reportedly engage in intense online debates about local topics such as traffic, data centers, roundabouts, and whether Newnan used to be better “back when.” These arguments often end with someone saying “do your research” before deleting the thread and never making eye contact with the other person again at Publix.

City officials say they are aware of the situation but aren’t sure what to do about it. “As long as it stays online and nobody actually throws a punch in real life, we guess it’s fine,” one official said, adding that most members just want to say they’re in a fight club, not actually even leave the basement.
