A man identifying himself as “Chip from Newnan” called into C-SPAN Sunday morning during a segment on American cities.

“Longtime Newnan resident here,” Chip began, confidently. “Born and raised. Huge supporter of my town, but even more of Peachtree City.”

He then spent the next thirteen minutes exclusively praising Peachtree City and claiming it gets a bad rap.

“In PTC, they enjoy over 100 miles of golf cart paths. You can get anywhere — grocery store, dentist, yacht club — without ever touching a steering wheel. Tremendous infrastructure. Something anyone could learn from.”

The host gently interjected that the info does not, in fact, have anything to do with Newnan.

“Oh sure it does,” Chip insisted. “But PTC has those beautiful tunnels. Landscaped medians. Lakes so pristine you can see your property value in the reflection.”

He went on to applaud “their strict HOA standards,” its “tasteful brick entrances,” and its “carefully regulated fun.”

When asked to name his favorite Newnan landmark, Chip paused.

“Well, obviously Peacht— I mean, Lake… Newnan. Big lake. Lots of sailboats. Very wet.”

The call ended shortly after Chip concluded, “pineapple even tastes great.”

Critics claim the man was not from Newnan and was obviously a PTC plant.
