PEACHTREE CITY UPS DRIVER HAILED AS HERO AFTER STOPPING “BREAK-IN”
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — A local UPS driver is being praised by neighbors and even a few police officers after reporting what he believed was a suspicious break-in at a home while the homeowner’s husband was at work.
According to the story making the rounds, UPS driver Daniel Jones noticed an unfamiliar man slipping into the house in the middle of the day. Believing something wasn’t right, he contacted authorities, who responded quickly.
Police initially thought they had interrupted a burglary in progress.
Instead, officers reportedly discovered the home’s owner was inside… with the “intruder.”
Authorities confirmed there was no burglary, no theft, and no crime to investigate—just an extremely awkward afternoon that quickly unraveled into what neighbors are now calling “the fastest divorce filing in Fayette County history.”
Despite the misunderstanding, several officers reportedly congratulated Jones for trusting his instincts.
“He absolutely did the right thing,” one officer allegedly said. “He just accidentally solved a completely different case.”
Jones has since declined interviews, saying he’d prefer to go back to delivering packages instead of life-altering plot twists that are the norm for PTC housewives.
