In a move no one saw coming, but many hoped it would come, Buc-ee’s has announced a bold new spinoff: Cuc-ee’s, set to open in Newnan, Georgia, in spring 2027. This is not your average pit stop. Instead of focusing on snacks, fuel, and restrooms, Cuc-ee’s leans hard into billing itself as “America’s most open-minded travel center.”
According to an incredibly uncomfortable press release from Buc-ee’s corporate, Cuc-ee’s is “a space for modern travelers, adventurous couples, and those who believe love shouldn’t come with a lock on the door or a judgmental beaver asking ‘am I good enough?’ every few minutes.”
From Brisque to Risqué
Unlike its wholesome parent brand, Cuc-ee’s will swap Beaver Nuggets for “Beaver Sausages.” The brisket counter is still there but rebranded as “The Meat Market,” with more chairs for watching than Georgian Cinemas.
Company spokesperson “Jody Thicc” who appeared at the press conference wearing a silk robe, said Cuc-ee’s is about “freedom, exploration, and taking long road trips with your partner and their very close friend named Elijah.”
Highlights of the upcoming Newnan Cuc-ee’s include:
Discrete Parking Zones: For “extended layovers,” Regular, Premium, and “Emotionally Unavailable” fuel grades, The Highway Watching Lounge, Clean Restrooms, Marvin Gaye CDs, “I Love Cuc-ee’s but won’t try to control her” merch, Chair in the Corner of the Hotel Room Plushies, and a new Self-Checkout system that will help you finish without bothering anyone else.
Local officials are… processing.
“My husband won’t stop volunteering to ‘scout the parking layout.’ He’s been gone for three days. But at least it’s not another QuikTrip.”
While Buc-ee’s has not confirmed future locations, insiders suggest Cuc-ee’s could open additional stores in places with a “strong eye contact culture.” Destinations like Peachtree City are favorites for expansion–just a gaping extension of the Newnan location.
Construction is expected to begin in late 2026, pending zoning approval and several overnight city council meetings.
